The Ongoing Battle For Liberty

ranching-standoff-protest

The kangaroo trial in Oregon of our political prisoners is over. Against all odds with a judge who tried everything in her power to suppress the truth and the defendant’s ability to properly defend themselves; they were acquitted of all charges. The real criminals are the agents of the federal government and they must be held accountable for their actions. Liberty has won a huge victory with the acquittal of these seven patriots. Yes we have won a battle but make no mistake the war has only just begun. Many patriots were intimidated into pleading guilty, the Hammonds were incarcerated for a second time on the same charges, the assassination of Lavoy Finicum and the trials in Nevada for the Bunkerville incident still need to be resolved and justice needs to be served.

Liberty is under siege by a corrupt and lawless federal government that needs to be held accountable for their crimes against the American people. The best thing that we as individual liberty loving patriots is to shine the light of truth on the evil being perpetrated in the darkness by an evil government and a complicit media. Remember that this trial with all its implications for liberty and constitutional government were completely ignored by the media until the acquittal which they could not hide.

Speak out America against the tyrants in Nevada, Oregon and now North Dakota. Evil thrives in the darkness and that is why the media is mostly silent on these usurpations of our unalienable rights and the criminal acts perpetrated by the government sworn to serve and protect us and our constitutional republic. Education of the people of the nature of the fight being waged against us by the statist elite tyrants will help unite the American people.

The government and their puppet propagandist media is lying to us and trying to divide us. Be wise enough to see beyond the lies. Americans of all stripes must unite against these tyrants. We must come together as Americans with no hyphenations and no divisions in common purpose in the defense of liberty and our unalienable rights. We should remember the then inspiring words of a candidate for Senator from Illinois named Barack Obama who said, “Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters and negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes. Well, I say to them tonight, there’s not a liberal America and a conservative America; there’s the United States of America. There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.”

The irony is the beautiful words were true but used by the forces of darkness and tyranny to fool us. The shame of it all is that Americans were deceived by this fraud of a man and puppet of the tyrants who wish to enslave and in some cases eradicate us for believing in the promise of America. America showed her greatness when this black man was overwhelmingly elected president. We sought a president to unite us as one people as he spoke of us being; instead we got the most divisive president in all of American history. This man has set us one upon the other along the lines of race, creed, religion, sexual orientation and wealth.

He and his cohorts along with their minions have set race relations back to a place before many of us were born or old enough to remember. We must reject this false narrative and the groups paid to espouse hate. We must unite in common purpose with great determination and faith in Divine Providence and embrace our destiny as the defenders of liberty. Together we are many, we are strong and we are invincible.

I implore you to find the courage inside to be an agent of true change and help restore our great republic and the liberty and values we were founded on. Let us defeat tyranny once and for all so that the spark of liberty shines so bright that no would be tyrant could find enough darkness to hide in and plot against us. Let us build that beautiful united country we were told about. It is within our hearts, minds and souls to build a world where liberty flourishes and Humanity prospers.

The Rising Storm

Police

The American people need to be prepared. The media and the agents of tyranny have joined forces, laying the groundwork to take away our unalienable rights and deny our liberty. The racial violence being stoked by George Soros and his minions in black lives matters, moveon.org, and other radical groups such as the new black panthers with the implicit consent if not outright collusion of Attorney General Loretta Lynch and President Obama has dominated the headlines for the last few days. The sad fact is that what we’ve seen in Dallas and now Baton Rouge are all being orchestrated.  What is worse is that this is just the beginning

First the media produces 2 videos of black men apparently being unnecessarily killed by white police officers using excessive deadly force. Immediately, black lives matters plans a march in Dallas to peacefully protest within 24 hours. What happens next is the carefully executed ambush and murder of 5 police officers with the story being that it was accomplished by a lone gunman, a black male veteran who the police kill with a robot carrying a bomb. The police could’ve just as easily used the robot to carry ordinance that would’ve incapacitated the man such as some kind of gas but instead he’s killed leaving no suspect to talk. This is a tactic unseen before in American history.

Fast forward to Baton Rouge where again police officers are ambushed and 3 are immediately killed. Again we are told by a lone gunman, a black male veteran who is killed in the ensuing shootout. In both cases the shootings are initially reported as multiple assailants but the story line changes to fit the narrative. A racially motivated ambush and multiple murders of white police officers by a black male veteran becomes the story. This fits the administration and the tyrants’ narrative of driving racial division, attacking the trustworthiness of local police officers while pushing the narrative that veterans should lose their right to bear arms. Gun control, dividing the American people, inciting violence and questioning the role of the police in society all are efforts to deny us our liberty and unalienable rights. This is the narrative being used against us by the media and the government tyrants.

Emails have already allegedly shown collusion with Attorney General Loretta Lynch in regards to upcoming civil unrest and violence at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland and then again at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. This taken together with the recent heightened pace of terrorist attacks both at home and abroad paves the way for playing on the emotions and fears of the American people. Some will heed the calls of division and weaken our nation as the tyrants seek. Others will openly call for the giving up of our unalienable rights and liberties in the name of national security. Some may call for the continued militarization of our local police forces or the need for a national police force. All of these outcomes have one thing in common; they weaken America and destroy our unalienable rights and liberties playing right into the hands of the tyrants who wish to enslave us.

It is time that Americans wake up to the deception, lies and usurpations that we are being led to believe is in our best interest. We must put aside the fear they wish to spread, embrace our diversity instead of allowing it to be used as a wedge between us. America’s strength has always been our unity through diversity that has made us indomitable. America must embrace our unalienable rights and liberties we have been given by our Creator to pursue happiness as we see fit with respect for the rights of others. Together we are many and we are strong. I call on all Americans to unite and stand together as one unafraid. Together we can reclaim our birthright to the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We must disregard the narrative being sold to us as nothing more than propaganda. Knowing that together with faith in Divine Providence and the justice of the cause of righteous liberty, we cannot be defeated by the evil plans of men and tyrants.  It is through unity and liberty that we are strongest and along with Divine Providence are made invincible.

The Senate Vote on Cloture

The Senate Vote on Cloture
The Senate has unanimously passed the House of Representatives’ Continuing Resolution which funds all federal government spending with the exception of funds earmarked for implementation of The Affordable Care Act. The next step is the vote to end debate or cloture which requires 60 votes to pass. If the vote for cloture passses the Senate Majority Leader can then control the amendment process and strip the language defunding the spending earmarked for the The Affordable Care Act by a simple majority of 51 votes and then send it back to the House in a take it or leave it manner placing the blame of a possible government shutdown squarely on the House Republican leadership. This game of brinkmanship is the way that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has run the Senate in his tenure in a my way or the highway manner. This time however the shoe is on the other foot if the 46 Republican Senators remain united and defy the majority leader the ability to end debate. Then Senator Reid will have no choice but to accept the bill as written and send it on to President Obama. The President will then have to decide whether to sign the bill or own the federal government shutdown by vetoing the bill. Ultimately the power of the purse under our Constitution lies with the Congress. The President’s responsibility is to faithfully execute those laws. In the case of the Affordable Care Act the President has overstepped his authority and has not fully implemented the law as written.

It is time the Republicans stand firm on their convictions, principles and promises to the American people. The House has funded the government with all its largesse except the funding for implementation of Obamacare which incidently includes the hiring of an additional 16,000 IRS agents. An agency mired in scandal which has still not been addressed and no one has been held accountable or been prosecuted for. Is this the agency we Americans want to grow, be given even more of our private information and control of our personal lives? This is an agency that has already been shown to be abusive to individuals and used to muzzle our free speech and by extension suppress voter participation by enemies of this administration. President Obama did use the term, “punish his enemies”, during his campaign for reelection. How ironic that after the stunning 2010 midterm election results giving control of the House of Representatives, the President’s enemies namely the Tea Party were targeted for excessive scrutiny, delay and investigations denying them to organize from 2010 all the way past the 2012 elections when the allegations became public. This is a fight that must and can be won. There is still a looming debt ceiling limit which victory here can only strengthen the Republican position on raising the debt limit but only by tying it to cutting unnecessary government spending.

President Obama’s Syrian Quandary

Posted in Foreign Policy, Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on September 1, 2013 by authorcarloscardoso

The President has been hesitant to get involved in the Syrian civil war from the beginning. However during the heat of his re-election campaign in trying to sound strong on foreign policy he made an unnecessary blunder and declared that if the Syrian regime used chemical weapons it would be a “red line” that if crossed would draw United States military intervention. This statement along with his use of the same “red line” description for not allowing Iran to acquire nuclear weapons puts the credibility of the United States in question both with our friends and foes alike at a very dangerous time in the region. To do nothing makes us seem weak and to do something ineffectual or worse leading to unintended consequences such as starting a broader war in the region could be catastrophic.

The fact is that we have not intervened in the over two year civil war and to do so now would not be in our national security interests. Syria has been supported by the Soviet Union throughout the cold war and still is, as Russia has sent them arms to use in the fight against the insurgents. The facts are that our limited intervention as outlined by the White House will not change the strategic balance in the war. Assad’s forces have gained the upper hand after insurgent gains made by mostly Islamic militant fighters aligned and led by elements of Al Qaeda. This means that we would be facing a historically Russian ally with ties to Iran while supporting an Al Qaeda Islamist group, neither of which is in our interests.

The Syrian regime is financed by Iran and spreads arms to terrorist organizations in Lebanon and the Palestinian territories to Hezbollah and Hamas.  This has been true for many years and if we had been able to put together a coalition of moderate Syrian forces looking to bring liberty and arm them in the infancy of the insurgency then we may have been able to make a difference. We missed our opportunity and are left with no viable options outside of an all out invasion taking out the current regime, securing the weapons of mass destruction and trying to build a national consensus government in an area with no such history. The Middle East as it stands today is the haphazard partitioning of the Ottoman Empire after World War One which was the final defeat of the Muslim jihad that began in around 600 BC and led to the establishing of an Islamic Caliphate that spread from the Middle East to Africa and across most of Europe into Spain. What we are seeing now is the rise of Islamic power trying to once again conquer the lost lands and ultimately the whole world.

Our dilemma is if we do nothing we lose face in front of the whole world, emboldening our enemies and frightening our allies. However, given our current fiscal problems to launch a limited attack as outlined by the President with no reason to do so other than to save the President’s and the United States’ reputation is going to be a tough sell to the American people. The President knows there is nothing to be gained by his planned military action strategically and even more importantly politically here at home. His speech on Saturday seeking Congressional approval for a much more limited action than he began in Libya without seeking it then is nothing more than seeking political cover for his foreign policy failure. We should not be in this position where there is nothing to be gained and much could possibly be lost. It is another example of this President’s failed leadership.

The Congress will debate and vote on whether or not to authorize the limited use of force the President has planned. If they vote to not authorize the use of force the President said he still feels he has the authority to do so but the consequences will be his and his alone. If he fails to act America’s reputation will be irreparably harmed and the rise of radical Islam will be emboldened and Israel will be left feeling that they will have to strike at Iran alone before they can become a nuclear power. If they do authorize it and it turns out bad the President has political cover for the fallout if it leads to all out war in the Middle East.

Unfortunately it will be up to the brave men and women of our Armed forces and the American taxpayers who are going to have to pay the consequences. The real national security issues would be if Syria was to fall and their weapons were to fall into the wrong hands, or Syria began smuggling chemical weapons and or advanced weaponry to Hamas and Hezbollah. The other is will Iran be allowed to become a nuclear power. Now with the specter of Iran on the horizon this situation grows exponentially in importance. None of this would have been necessary if it weren’t for the President’s political posturing and poor choice of words putting America’s reputation on the line when no national security interests were at stake

The Fourth of July 1776 and 2013

Posted in Foreign Policy, Freedom of Speech, Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 19, 2013 by authorcarloscardoso

The Fourth of July in 1776 marked the day that representatives from the 13 British Colonies declared their independence from England and the rule of King George. This was not an action taken lightly or quickly. The colonists had for years asked their government to address their grievances but were ignored leaving the colonists no choice but to separate themselves from England. The colonists did not do this to become free, for they were British citizens and as such were considered free men. They did not take this action to establish a democracy; they did so for a higher purpose.  They did so to establish the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness with equality for all men as endowed by their Creator. The signers of the Declaration of Independence pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to this cause with firm reliance on Divine Providence.

Two hundred and 37 years later we celebrated the birth of our nation by this founding document which culminated in the drafting of our Constitution on September 17, 1787. Those same 13 former colonies, now independent States came together and seeking Divine guidance gave us the Constitution and later added the first ten amendments which enumerated our inalienable rights that the government was created to protect. The Constitution established our Republican form of government, guaranteed our individual liberties and sovereignty.  We have democratic principles in place but a system of separation of powers to ensure that we do not allow a majority to take away the rights of the minority. It is the shortest written Constitution in the world but has the distinction of being the longest continuously in place in the world today. However our Constitutional Republic has never been in greater danger since we were bold enough to declare our independence. The saddest part of that statement besides it being true is that Americans have no idea how far we are from our founding ideals and how our current government has trampled on our Constitution.

The Obama administration with the tacit approval of both the legislative and judicial branch has taken away and diminished our individual rights. The Constitution was literally the various free and independent States and the individual citizens entering into a contract with the government. As an individual we gave to the federal government limited powers through our consent. The congress was divided into the House of Representatives which was intended to give the citizens a voice and the Senate which was to represent the various States. Together they would pass the laws which fell within the limited scope of the Constitution. The Executive Branch was to faithfully execute the law and the Judicial Branch was to ensure that the laws were within the boundaries of the Constitution as written and intended. The States were ensured their sovereignty as well as the individual citizen according to Natural Law.

Fast forward to today and look at it through the eyes of the Founding Fathers and the citizens of the day. The Stamp Act passed by the British Parliament and enforced by the King through the use of the British Army, gave them the right to enter into our homes to ensure that we had all our documents stamped. This abuse of power was a rallying cry for the colonists and led directly to the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution protecting our rights to be secure in our persons, homes, papers and effects unless there is a warrant for a specific area and or thing to be searched. Now for the opportunity to travel by air we and our belongings are searched without a warrant as if we were all criminals under investigation with an established probable cause.

Another example of government abuse of power today would be the Boston Marathon bombing case and the government’s response. What would be mind boggling to our ancestors would be the City of Boston and its citizens’ response to the actions taken. Substitute the Redcoats as they were called at the time for the Boston Police Department. Imagine the armored vehicles of today being cavalry and artillery with armed soldiers instead of the body armored police officers deployed with automatic machine guns going house to house. They then at gun point force the citizens to leave their homes to be searched looking for two fugitives. How do you think our forefathers would have reacted to such an invasion of an American city? They certainly would not have happily complied and applauded the government’s actions. There would have been outrage and all able bodied men would have been called to arms.

Throw in the scandals of the NSA monitoring our phone calls and internet communications without probable cause and a warrant. Then ask yourself if it was truly being done in the name of national security looking for terrorist activity, how they inexplicably missed Major Hassan at Fort Hood and the Boston bombers. They both had jihadist propaganda on their Facebook pages. The Russians warned us about the bombers and one even travelled to Chechnya, a known Muslim extremist hotbed and no attention was paid to them. So who are they really watching and why?

Then add the IRS scandal where political opponents of the current administration were targeted and persecuted and the violation of our First and Fourth amendment rights were being abused leading up to an election and where is the public outcry and outrage? Add to this the AP and Fox News wiretapping and where is our Freedom of the Press?  All while the top law enforcement official in the nation perjured himself in testimony before Congress about his knowledge and involvement in these actions. On the heels of his obstruction of justice and perjury in the Fast and Furious gun scandal isn’t this enough to warrant his dismissal and prosecution? Yet the President protects him using executive privilege which on the face of it implies the President was complicit in the Fast and Furious Operation. He then allows the Department of Justice to investigate the matter with the press and again the Attorney General is not held accountable. All while the FBI chief can’t even tell us if the IRS scandal is being investigated.

President Obama and Attorney General Holder get to pick and choose not only which laws they will uphold but even which parts of laws they will uphold. The voter intimidation case in Philadelphia by the New Black Panthers is dismissed as they were about to be found guilty of an egregious crime against the citizens of this country and our right to vote. They chose to not enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, they chose to not enforce our immigration laws and cease deporting illegal aliens. They use the excuse of sequestration to free illegal aliens from prisons across the country by decree. The President suspends the Affordable Patient Care Act employer mandate until after the mid-term elections. The UN Ambassador and Secretary of State lie and obstruct justice after four Americans including an Ambassador and two former Navy SEALs are killed on the anniversary of 9-11 and the truth of what happened, who knew and why nothing was done remains unanswered and the survivors who owe their lives to the brave actions of the two former Navy SEALs have still not been heard from. The list goes on and on. The Congress which has the power to call for an Independent Counsel with subpoena powers to investigate and follow this pattern of deception and unconstitutional and illegal activities does not pursue it to its logical conclusion which is to write up Articles of Impeachment and put an end to this pattern of behavior. Seems that King George has nothing on President Obama and our federal government, and the American people who so cherished liberty that they would take on their own government, the mightiest nation on Earth sit idly by as our liberties are being usurped and our Constitution is trampled.  Our forefathers would be saddened and ashamed.

The United States, Israel and Iran

Posted in Foreign Policy, Politics with tags , , , , , on September 13, 2012 by authorcarloscardoso

The president decided that he will not as requested meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later this month here in Washington or in New York at the United Nations at the General Assembly meetings. This after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proclaimed there are no deadlines for Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency claimed Iran is getting closer to a weapon. Reporting that they are working on computer modeling the destructive power of an atomic warhead, clearly indicating that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons technology. Iran threatens to wipe Israel off the map and to attack both American troops in the region and America itself. The Israeli Prime Minister says ‘The world tells Israel, ‘Wait. There’s still time and I say: ‘Wait for what? Wait until when?’ Those in the international community who refuse to put red lines before Iran don’t have a moral right to place a red light before Israel.’’ When Israel is threatened with complete annihilation, the United States has a moral responsibility to ensure that the Jewish people are defended and protected.

The United States and the people of the world vowed that after the holocaust, we would never allow it to happen again. Yet when Israel is threatened more than ever, the administration snubs Israel and the Prime Minister leaving them isolated and left to deal with the Iranian threat alone without American support. This behavior is unconscionable and all Americans must contact our elected officials in the House, Senate and President Obama to support a bipartisan effort to voice our unequivocal support for Israel pressuring the White House to commit to eliminating the Iranian’s from acquiring a nuclear weapon or the technological ability to create them.

The Democratic Platform originally did not recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel until the media publicized it. The floor vote on the convention floor was supposed to pass with a two thirds majority and after three voice votes the chairman said the ayes had it drawing a chorus of boos by the delegates. This display showed the Democratic Party and administration does not support Israel, the omission was intentional and only changed for political expediency and not conviction. This continues a trend by this administration of bringing our historical traditions and policies to an abrupt end while openly disrespecting Israel’s leaders and failing to support the nation of Israel. This administration would allow the destruction of Israel and the mass murder of the Jewish people, abandoning one of our staunchest allies. We need a change of leadership that will stand with Israel and make it clear to our friends and foes alike that we will honor our commitments to our allies and those who would oppose us should do so at their own peril. Respect on the world stage requires leadership and peace through strength with the use of force when necessary to protect our friends, interests and fight the spread of evil by all means necessary.

The Relationship Between the United States and Israel

Posted in Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , on September 1, 2012 by authorcarloscardoso

The position of the United States has historically been one of complete support for the Jewish State of Israel. This has been the case since the recognition of Israel and has remained true throughout the years. The relationship however has been markedly different over the past almost four years. The signs have been unmistakable as a valued ally has been treated with a total lack of respect. French President Sarkozy called Prime Minister Netanyahu a liar, President Obama caught unguarded on a live microphone responded, “at least you don’t have to listen to him everyday”. Longstanding U.S. policy abandoned with the endorsement of the position held by the Palestinians, stating that the peace negotiations should begin with Israel returning to the pre 1967 war borders without any concessions on the part of the Palestinians. The lands won were from Egypt, Jordan and Syria, not Palestine. This places Israel in a position of giving up strategic land won, leaving the Israeli borders indefensible. Prime Minister Netanyahu was then snubbed for dinner and yet responded with a tremendous speech to a joint session of Congress highlighting our common values, unshakeable historical alliance and common interests.

Provocative actions by Iran were responded to by cancelling planned joint military exercises with U.S. and Israeli defense forces hardly a show of strength and support. Iran has been allowed to pursue a nuclear weapon without the U.S. preparing a military response leaving Israel to prepare to act alone at a time when the Middle East has never been a more dangerous place. Administration sources leaked an Israeli plan in April to attack Iran from airbases in Azerbaijan effectively destroying the element of surprise, forcing the cancellation of the airstrikes to destroy the Iranian nuclear program. They leaked sensitive national security secrets to the press publicly acknowledging that the U.S and Israel had created and deployed the Stuxnet virus that sabotaged the Iranian nuclear program. These were covert acts of war that should never have been revealed, costing us the ability to continue this path of slowing Iran’s pursuit of a nuclear weapon. Funds were withheld and $70 million was just recently released to assist Israel with its Iron Dome missile defense system both done in an election year with obvious political motives.

Clearly the level of support enjoyed by Israel over the years is not what it once was. It is a sad day when the Prime Minister of Israel concludes that the current American leadership will never attack Iran. America and Israel must stand firm together, against all threats. Leadership that unequivocally supports Israel must be put back into place here in America. The relationship between the United States and Israel must be repaired, as Israel finds itself increasingly surrounded by groups who openly advocate their destruction. America has a moral obligation to ensure that history is not repeated and the Jewish people may continue to live in peace and security. Israel must know that America stands with you. When dependable diplomatic and military support once counted on is in question, confidence must be restored immediately as the stakes have never been higher.
