President Obama Addresses Economy in Reno, Nevada

Pres. Obama Travels to Reno to Discuss Home Mortgages | C-SPAN.

The President came to Reno, Nevada to tout his plan to help the economy. This is the same President who has been in office for over 3 and a half years and has done nothing to help the economy contrary to his statements. He enjoyed a super majority in both houses of congress for 2 years and what did he accomplish? How many of his campaign promises of hope and change did he implement? The bailouts didn’t help the average American or grow the economy. The stimulus bill spent our taxpayer money to create jobs in other countries and did nothing here. The green energy money went to his friends who took the money and left us with nothing in return. The President and the Democratic controlled congress’ only other legislative accomplishment was done against the will of the majority of Americans in passing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. A law which is in danger of being struck down by the Supreme Court of the United States as unconstitutional. The Presidents policies of over regulation strangled our economy and led to the current rise in prices we all see and feel at the pump and the grocery store.

The President can’t run on his record so he will resort to pandering new ideas, plans and more empty promises when his record clearly shows a man who has no record of economic accomplishments. He has instead repeatedly sought to divide the nation across all demographic groups, men versus women, whites against black and hispanics, rich against poor. Fostering race and class warfare all to gain political advantage. He will ultimately seek to try and sell us that better days are ahead under his leadership. He just needs more time.

He himself said that if he couldn’t fix the economy by now he’d be a one term President. That’s one statement we should all hold him accountable to. Unless we change course and soon we won’t have any hope that the America we’ve known and loved will be there for our children and grandchildren. His reckless spending, disdain for the Constitution of the United States and lack of leadership leads to a dangerous combination we can no longer afford in these dangerous times we live in.

Now we fast forward to 2012 an election year and now he has an answer to promise the people relief when he clearly failed to lead on this issue. He continues to blame the economy’s woes on everyone but himself. He has the audacity to come to the state which has led the nation in unemployment and foreclosures under his leadership and his ally Senator Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader. This is a President who promises to get those who are impeding progress, all while not having producing a single budget. He blames the Republican’s obstructionist measures for this failure when the responsibility falls clearly at the feet of the President, Senate Majority Leader Reid and House speaker Pelosi. So here he comes quite belatedly offering to help and demanding congress pass his plans to help the economy now. A day late and a dollar short as the saying goes, the cards you’ve dealt us we fold. Shuffle the deck and move on we’ll not move forward as you suggest, we ain’t buying what you’re selling. We’ve seen how you play the game for too long.

The Debt Ceiling Debate

This is the single most important debate on whether or not the American Republic as we know it will survive. The President has the nerve to blame the Republicans for this impending disaster. The budget should have been completed in the past congress when the Democrats had control of both houses and the presidency yet did not complete their constitutional responsibility to do so. President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Reid and former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi should explain to the American people why this vital responsibility was left uncompleted until after the midterm elections and the lame duck session. Was this a calculated political move with an eye towards the upcoming election of 2012, let them explain it instead of playing the blame game which is a farce.

Our government is bloated and has become even more so during the Obama administration’s time in power. The government needs to be shrunk to where it doesn’t cost us a penny borrowed to pay for a responsible government. The Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke also entered into the fray with his attacks on Republicans as well. His comments are incredulous given the facts. He accused the Republicans of possibly damaging the dollar when his own policies of printing money and inflating the money supply has done more intentional damage to the value of our currency and our way of life than any other person in history. An investigation into the activities of the Federal Reserve is needed urgently and anyone found guilty of improper conduct should be held legally accountable.

The final slap to the American people by this administration, is their argument that they need additional revenues to go with spending cuts. This from an administration which if it had our best interests at heart could increase revenue, improve our security and save our economy by opening up American natural resources to American companies. Freeing them to hire American workers to tap into our vast reserves of oil, natural gas and coal that could transform us back to prosperity. American energy independance is vital to our future prosperity and the only way to get ourselves out of this massive hole we have dug for ourselves. This is an unbelievable pool of resources left untouched to what purpose and why? Our government needs to allow for the private sector to create jobs by getting out of the way and let capitalism do what it does best, innovate and create. To me, I believe $14.3 Trillion in debt needs to be paid down not added to. We owe it to our future children, grandchildren and citizens of future generations to inherit this world free of debt. It is our moral duty, it is time to make the correct but difficult choices that must be made. Republicans must hold fast and it is up to Speaker Boehner to lead in the absence of real leadership from the president and the senate.

2010 Victory

The elections of 2010 showed the power of the people to enact change at the ballot box. Winning an important battle but the war is far from over. Highly funded opposition to constitutional government is poised to take the fight to us. We must overcome this radical challenge for the  heart and soul of our nation. We must remain vigilant and continue to organize to take our country back to her roots. The concept of State and individual sovereignty must be reinforced. The future of the republic was never meant to be controlled by the judiciary branch interpreting the constitution and its limits on federal government power.  The individual states have the power to supercede or nullify federal law. They also have the right of seccesion as shown by the actions and the precedents established by our Founding Fathers.

Time To Stand Together

The elections of 2010 represent a watershed moment in history that could not only decide the fate of this great country of ours, but the future of Western Civilization, the direction of the free world, and our position of preeminence in the world.

Now as we see the direction our country is headed it is time for us to stand up together, make our voices heard and take our country back to the roots that have made this country great. May history find us worthy and say that this generation of Americans faced our challenges with faith, courage and determination and once again prevailed against those who would threaten us, our way of life and our republican system of government. We cannot sit idly by as the stakes have never been higher.

Should we fail, we will be judged harshly by history and rightly so.
